YI NAN KANG
Graduated from Parsons School of Design, Yi Nan approachs fashion as a form of storytelling, layering colors, textiles, prints, and embellishments to express emotional narratives. Her work is driven by curiosity and a desire to translate personal and collective experiences into detailed garments.
Throughout her career, she has explored knitting, crochet, beading, screen-printing, weaving, and other fabric manipulations. Yi Nan’s senior thesis collection, sponsored by Swarovski and Solstiss Lace, highlights her commitment to craftsmanship, material exploration, and narrative-driven design.
She has had numerous achivements including, selected as a runway designer in Dialective, Swarovski Sponsorship winner, Solstiss Academy Finalist, and also winning the Tory Burch Upcycle Design Challenge.
